Rare Antique Double Sided "Angora" Wool Oushak Rug, Ca 1890

A truly outstanding and one of a kind antique Turkish Oushak rug made of local Angora (mohair) wool that created a silky texture.

What makes this rug so special is the weaving technique used in making it which created the same design and pile height on both sides of the rug with different colors on each side so both sides of the rug can be used on the floor according to the preferred colour palette.
